Eva Jacqueline Longoria is one of TV's most beautiful latin women, and although she is best known as the seductress Gabrielle on Desperate Housewives, she has appeared in several TV shows and movies as you'll discover in our Filmography section.
Born in 1975 as the baby of the family with three older sisters, young Eva would be the joy of her parents, Enrique Longoria and Ella Eva Maria who lived on a ranch near Corpus Christi, Texas.
She got her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M in Kinesiology (examining the body through muscle tests for holistic health). She also won the Miss Corpus Christi Beauty Pageant in 1998. Having a taste for showbiz, she decided to try her hand by entering a talent contest in Los Angeles. That thought paid off because she was spotted by a talent agent, who signed her up.
Hollywood was a tough place, but Eva persisted and wound up in many different roles. In her personal life, she would be seen with such people as Tyler Christopher from General Hospital, who she was married to for two years, JC Chavez from NSync, SAG President Edward W.V. Stevens, Mousir Syed, and Tony Parker of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs, who is her latest squeeze.
The 5'1" star is a wildfire, thus her A-List role is perfect for her, although her co-stars had to wonder when she sent them each a vibrator. She mentioned her love for these in a Rolling Stones article, but afterwards ABC had asked her to stop talking about it in public interviews.
Being Catholic, some scenes that she's had to play on the popular night time soap, Desperate Housewives, has gotten her into a bit of hot water with her family. It seems that her grandmother didn't like the idea that Gabrielle was having an affair with a 16 year old. Of course, attacking a nun on the show didn't help either.
But yet it's another day in showbiz and she takes it in stride. And why not? Her fame and beauty are undeniable. So much so, that Maxim made her the only woman that could be seen from space, via the world's largest cover in the desert. Now if that isn't fame, then what is?
